Recent animal welfare consultations
The Centre for Animal Welfare Policy recently filed submissions in response to the following consultations relevant to animal welfare:
Reform of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (Joint consultation by the UK Government, the Scottish Government, the Northern Ireland Executive and the Welsh Government)
National Planning Policy Framework: proposed reforms and other changes to the planning system (Consultation by the UK Government's Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government)
Cage reform: proposed ban on keeping laying hens, pullets and breeder layers in cages (Joint consultation by the UK Government, the Welsh Government, the Scottish Government and the Northern Ireland Executive)
The Centre for Animal Welfare Policy also prepared guidance to assist individuals and NGOs in responding to this consultation.
